Dr Laura Day is a Clinical Psychologist with experience supporting clients through a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions and emotional dysregulation.

Laura began her training with a First Class BSc in Psychology from the University of Kent, before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work and an MSc in Advanced Relationship-based Social Work through the Frontline programme. She later qualified as a Clinical Psychologist through the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Surrey.

Before and during her clinical training, Laura worked across a range of settings including child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), social care, and services supporting children, families and wider networks. This breadth of experience has shaped her thoughtful, relational and person-centred approach, with therapy tailored to the individual and their unique circumstances.

In her clinical work, Laura draws on a number of evidence-based models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systemic Family Therapy. She has a particular interest in supporting people experiencing intense emotions, trauma-related difficulties, and the impact of invalidating life experiences.

Laura brings warmth, curiosity and compassion to her work, helping clients feel understood, supported and empowered to make meaningful change.
